Event
Details: As part of our commitment to partnering with families to develop strong readers and learners, we are inviting every Little Explorers family to attend one of our upcoming parent workshops.
These sessions will explore building strong foundations for literacy, with a particular focus on the powerful role of everyday interactions, conversation and reading aloud in supporting young children’s language, comprehension and learning.
During Term 4, we will also introduce our Read Together Book Packs, which every child will bring home regularly to enjoy with their family. The workshops will provide practical guidance about how to use these packs in ways that encourage rich conversation, deepen understanding and make shared reading an enjoyable and valuable part of family life. This approach will continue into Kindergarten as children begin their journey with our home reading program.
We strongly encourage at least one parent or caregiver from every family to attend, as the session will provide important background and practical strategies to support your child’s use of the Read Together Packs at home.
To make attendance as accessible as possible, families may choose to attend either the Monday or Thursday session, via the registration links provided.
We look forward to working together to build the strong language, relationships and foundations for learning that will support children well beyond their early years.
