Details: Students will visit the Perth Observatory in Bickley for an engaging, hands-on exploration of the Sun, Earth, Moon and other objects in space. Through movement, play and interactive activities, students will investigate rotation and orbit, as well as observe how shadows change as the sun appears to move across the sky. They will tour the observatory museum, touch a real meteorite and learn about the differences between asteroids, meteors, meteorites and comets before creating their own comet to take home. Students will also safely observe the Sun using sun spotters and a telescope connected to an iPad.

Transport: Buses will depart from the Prep School at 8.45am and depart from Perth Observatory at 2.00pm to return to School
